This scheme encourages rooftop solar installations for household users who consume 400 units or less per year. Chief Minister introduced the Goem Vinamulya Vij Yevjan Scheme 2025 which is in line with the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and is a big step towards sustainable energy. The project intends to improve Goa’s solar rooftop installations. So that more residential homes may produce their electricity and become less dependent on conventional power sources. The objective of the Goem Vinamulya Vij Yevjan Scheme

Promoting the use of solar rooftops is the main goal of the Goem Vinamulya Vij Yevjan Scheme. The project has a budget of 75,021 crore and will be carried out until FY 2026–2027. The initiative will expand the capacity of solar rooftops and allow private residences to produce their own electricity. The central program, Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, has a budget of Rs 75,021 crore and is scheduled to continue until FY 2026–2027. A sum of Rs 35 crore is invested initially in the Goem Vinamulya Vij Yevjan. The Goa Energy Development Agency will cover the remaining cost of rooftop installations up to 5kW for customers who use 400 units or less per year.

Eligibility Criteria

Financial Benefits

Subsidy Under PM Surya

Residential homes can receive a subsidy of Rs. 30,000 per kW up to 2 kW. Up to 3 kW of increased capacity costs Rs. 18,000/-per kW. For installations over 3 kW, the total subsidy is limited to Rs 78,000.

Goem Vinamulya Vij Yevjan Scheme Apply Online 2025

Step 1: Visit PM Surya Ghar’s official website first.

Step 2: Fill out the following details to register.

Please follow the site’s instructions. – Select your state; – Select your power distribution company; – Enter your electricity consumer number; – Enter your cellphone number; – Enter your email.

Step 3: To log in, provide your mobile number and consumer number.

Step 4: Apply for rooftop solar by completing the form.

Step 5: Finish the online application.

Step 6: Wait for DISCOM to approve the viability. Once you acquire the feasibility approval, you can have the plant installed by any of the authorized suppliers in your DISCOM.

Step 7: Submit the plant details and start the net meter application as soon as the solar panel installation is finished.

Step 8: A commissioning certificate will be produced via the official portal following the installation of the net meter and a successful inspection by the DISCOM officials.

Step 9: Enter your bank account details and a canceled check in the portal after you receive the commissioning certificate. Within 30 days, the subsidy amount will be deposited into your bank account.
